Library News Blog takes the summer off!

Like Sarah Lawrence students, the Sarah Lawrence Library News Blog will be taking the summer off. We'll be thinking about better ways to put this blog to use for the community, and look forward to welcoming everyone back at the end of August. If you have library-related questions in the meantime, the librarians will still be hard at work. Call us at 914-395-2225, or email reference@slc.edu.

Water and snacks will be permitted in the library

Library director Sha Fagan sent the following email to the campus community this morning:

"We want to thank the students who sent in thoughtful comments in response to President Myer's memo regarding conduct in the library. It is a shame that the conduct of a few students can affect the larger community.

We will permit water in the library as long as it is in spill-proof containers. Snacks such as candy bars and pretzels will also be permitted. Students should refrain from eating near the computers. Please use the trash bins for all refuse."

Feel free to leave comments and questions about the revised policy here.
