Greetings from a new reference librarian
Greetings everyone!
My name is Maria Accardi, and I am a new reference librarian here at Sarah Lawrence. My responsibilities include working at the reference desk, conducting library instruction sessions, conducting individual research consultations, and collection development (i.e. buying books for the library) for literature, writing, history, Italian, and Spanish. I am very happy to be here and am looking forward to an exciting and productive school year.
I believe that the role of the librarian is to be a friendly, approachable, and helpful facilitator of information access. This means that I am here to help you, so I hope to see you in the library some time! You can contact me at maccardi@slc.edu or extension 2225. You can also feel free to visit me in the reference office located behind the circulation desk.
